Presenter: Dr. Sonja Pippin, CPA is an associate professor in accounting at UNR, has a Master’s degree in geography from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, a Master’s Degree in Accounting (with focus on taxation) from Texas Tech University, and a PHD. in Business Administration (Accounting) from Texas Tech University. Her research has been published in academic and practitioner-oriented journals such as the Journal of Legal Tax Research, the CPA Journal, and Strategic Finance. Topics of her articles cover the impact of (new) tax rules on taxpayers in the U. S. as well as in an international context .
